The Deep Dish
The DD is a new design we have been working on with our team during the ‘09 season.
The idea is to get the rail to do the tuning and the bottom to do the driving.
It features a super deep single concave that runs though the fins making the center rocker relatively straight. To balance this out, we increased the rocker curve out at the rail line allowing the rail to penetrate deeper into the wave face and pull the board through turns.
The DD likes to be on one rail or the other and therefore it should be considered a board for a more advanced surfer who can use the rail to generate and maintain speed. If you understand what we are talking about, then you definitely need to get one of these under your feet.
